Spiritual WritingYou mended my broken heart,
When it was torn apart.
Because of the work You’ve done in me,
From my bondages I’m now free.

Layer by layer You peel them away,
You show them to me and You say
“My child it’s time to face this one,
The healing process has begun.”

You refine me so tenderly,
From the inside You’re changing me
Free of bitterness, money and it’s chains.
The hold of unforgiveness and the pain

Every obedient step I take in the light,
Matures and blesses me with new insight
Day by day, hour by hour
I see the release of Your power.

These blessings from You that I receive
I put on the altar as a seed

Growing Pains

Growing painsChristian Writing Ministry
they are so hard,
But such a necessary part
of life

In one year
Seems ten I’ve grown
I sometimes feel
so all alone
in strife.

But in my loneliest
times
Is when I always
find
The face of Christ

The arms of Jesus
reach for me
Everyday, but I best see
in darkness

The Pit

You were there when I was numbChristian Writing Ministry
When I was lost.
When I didn’t know where to find…..
me.

I didn’t know where to look.
Going through the motions
seemed so hard.
My struggles just brought
me deeper in the pit.

But, no pit is deeper
than the arm of God.
And You were there.
You met me in my pit,
and sat with me awhile.
And we cried together.
We mourned my losses:
-of hope
-of the future
that “my mind” had planned,
and realized that You directed my path.

Your plans are better than mine,
Your thoughts are higher than mine.
And I put my hand in Yours,
and You are bringing me out of that pit.
And I know there is glorious sunshine at the end.

However long it takes
However many rocks are in my path,
we will go hand in hand
and I will trust You
and follow You completely.
For You know me
and even though You know,
You love me!

Broken

Christian Writing MinistryYou bind up broken hearts,
Well mine is broken apart
In my mind, I do believe,
Yet I can’t seem to receive.

Receive and walk next to You
Involve You in all I say and do,
I’m isolated and so alone,
My life is empty as is my home

A Call to Christians

A Call to Christians

With the recent tragedy this past week, I feel this is a great opportunity for Christians. We know what the promises in the Bible are and now is a time to claim them. We know God takes what is intended for our harm and uses it for good. (Genesis 50:20b) He can and will heal our land, IF we pray, seek Him and obey. “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” II Chronicles 7:14

He has provided us with a river of living water on the inside of us, “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High” Psalm 46:4; “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38; we need to go to that river and drink deeply, let it flow in us, through us and over us to refresh us. This river provides peace and God has promised peace that surpasses all understanding. “And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7. This peace makes no sense to unbelievers, they look at circumstances and don’t understand how peace can be found during a tragedy. This peace doesn’t mean we don’t grieve or feel emotions. God feels emotions, He grieves, feels compassion, love and jealousy but He always has peace. This same peace that He has He’s promised to give to us. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

As Christians, we are not to define ourselves from the outside in, but rather from the inside out. We do not find our security, peace, joy, love and life from the outside, from our circumstances or our environment; we find these things from the inside, from that river within us. We have the Holy Spirit in us and we are called to forgive, to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44. We are to bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ in all that we say and do.

We are blessed to have in office a President that calls the nation to prayer. Prayer is being talked about daily on the TV news and is making the front page of the paper. All over the world people are turning to God. We can pray that relationships with God will develop in people due to this.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Birthday Blessing

Christian Writing MinistryAs you’re sitting there in your cell,
You could think it’s your private hell,
Looking at the window, seeing only bars,
Or look at the same window and see the stars.

Now, it’s your birthday, and they’re tough enough,
Without having to deal with all of this stuff.
I know God is working in your soul,
To heal and make you spiritually whole.

Tenderly and gently allow Him to touch you,
Let His love and powerful Spirit come pouring through,
To saturate your being to the core,
As you honor and worship the Lord.

For your birthday, this blessing I pray,
On Jesus’ lap, you spend your day.
Knowing you are His precious child,
And his love for you, makes Him smile.

In this love, let yourself rest,
In you, Jesus always sees the best.
Your sins are forgiven and forgotten
His mercy and grace cannot be bought en

Rejoice! You’re a new person in Christ,
This transformation lasts for life,
The ways of old are in the past,
Your new ways are what’s gonna last.

Pity Party

In times like these, I feel like such a misfit,
Christian Writing MinistryI wanna give up, throw in the towel and quit.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter what I do,
Some people just won’t like me, it’s true.

That familiar feeling returns, being sorry for myself,
Wanting to hide, withdraw and sit on a shelf.
I tell myself I’m a big girl, I can take it,
But my feelings well up and I can’t fake it.

I’m hurt, disappointed and needing to heal,
It’s easier to deny the feelings I feel.
Pain isn’t fun, but I know God uses it for my good,
He’ll hold my Hand And walk me through it, like only He could.
